Thor has a habit of getting smacked in the face, and while it makes for a pretty funny look to see his face plastered on something, it’s actually a nice sign of character consistency across several films.
In Thor 1, Thor gets introduced to the rest of the cast when he gets hit by their vehicle, and then, in Avengers: Infinity War, Thor gets introduced to the rest of the cast when he gets hit by their spaceship.
