We loved Skurge in Thor: Ragnarok. And there are two things, in particular, that make us love him even more. First, he tells about his guns that he got in Texas – Des, and Troy, this is a reference to two of the Dallas Cowboys’ move famous football players: Dez Bryant and Troy Aikman.
The second is during Skurge’s redemption when he hopes out of the ship and shoots down some zombies, he recreates the cover of the video game Doom, in which Karl Urban, the actor who plays Skurge, also voiced the main character.
