You know that something is pretty controversial when it has its’ own Wikipedia page! This ad, released initially in 1953, flew under the radar for quite a few years, seemingly unnoticed until later on sparking a lot of controversy.
It was made the showcase this brand’s twist-off bottle cap, which they claimed made bottles so easy to open that a woman would have no trouble with it. Women have slated this ad and the brand in more recent years.
