We think we’ve already established just how weird the ocean is, but it turns out that the sea isn’t the only water biome that can hold some weird, freaky things. This was found in someone’s backyard pond, and it definitely took them by surprise. According to someone online, it is likely a swim bladder from a fish in their pond.
These bladders can be filled and deflated by a fish in order to change its buoyancy, and therefore its position in water. Why it’s outside of a fish, though, we’ll never know. Maybe a pond shark got to him.
