We’ve seen plenty of cheesy pieces of technology that existed in the past, but this might just be the funniest. This feels like exactly what everyone in 1980 thought 2020 would look like. It’s not horribly inaccurate we suppose, as we have VR and Google Glass and such, but it still feels quite outdated.
This was an optical attachment similar to Google Glass made in 2001 by a company called MicroOptical. It was probably super futuristic at the time, and this guy was just showing it off. His smirk really says all that there is to be said.
