As delicious as eggs are, there are some weird things that can go on with them. If you’ve ever had the joy of cracking open a fertilized egg that accidentally found its way into your dozen from the grocery store, you know exactly what we’re talking about. But as much as this might look like some type of fertilization gone wrong, that actually isn’t really the case.
This is what is known as a meat spot. It’s basically just a part of the chicken’s reproductive system that somehow found its way into the egg when it was being made.
