You can find all sorts of interesting artifacts when you are out exploring in the woods, but most of them are decidedly natural or modern. Very rarely do you come across what looks to be an archaeological dig site while joyriding on a four wheeler! Surprised by what appeared to be an ancient mosaic floor, this off road enthusiast posted this photo to Reddit.
An archeologist responded that this was the remnants of a mosaic floor alongside a small piece of an old column. They roughly dated this find to anywhere from 100 BC to 800 AD. Cool stuff!
