Here’s another old antique with an odd, esoteric use. While this might just look like a tiny flask for someone with a very small thirst that needs to be quenched, this actually wasn’t meant for drinking at all. It’s a pendant that would be filled with perfume and then worn on a necklace.
This meant that its wearer would always have perfume on them if they needed to freshen up, but it also doubled as a nice looking piece of jewelry. Fashion AND function! You’ve gotta love the ingenious inventors of old.
