Before we get into this one, we’d like to make sure to say that we aren’t entirely positive if the message asking if the make-up artist is “free” is talking about their schedule or if they could get free work. They also mention they don’t have much of a budget, so it likely won’t be much of a fair exchange either way.
Regardless, there is definitely something inherently entitled about asking someone to do work for you after acknowledging that something terrible went on with their parents…and you didn’t reach out. That’s not just awkward, it’s rude.
