For whatever reason, people or groups with large followings think that their social media presence is a fair substitute for money. This doesn’t make much sense, as companies have been paying employees for work that doubles as visibility for quite some time now.
Do you think runway models eschew pay in favor of the feeling of “collaboration” between them and the designer? Hint: no, no they do not. We doubt this person got a ton of make-up artists jumping at this opportunity. Hopefully they just ended up paying someone.
