You know how if you leave an object on a patch of grass for too long that it will kill the grass underneath, this is sort of like that same thing. Except with what happened here, the glass globe simply reflected the rays of the sun in the same spot for too long.
The result, as you can see, is the rays created a huge mark on the lawn. While it turned into a funny and cool story afterward, we’re guessing the landowner was none too pleased when they figured this out.
