[post_page_title]Crisscrossing continuity with Captain America: Civil War[/post_page_title]
You know, Black Widow might be the only movie ever whose plot takes place sandwiched between the events of another film – specifically, between most of Captain America: Civil War and that movie’s final scene. As such, it’s no surprise to find connections between the two, but there are some interesting ones.

Secretary Thaddeus Ross, for example, is hunting Natasha because she “assaulted the King of Wakanda” – although she really just stunned him – in Civil War. Ross also makes reference to having Falcon, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man in custody – neglecting to mention Wanda, for some reason – and Black Widow sets up how Natasha will help rescue them from the Raft.
