Small Details And Easter Eggs Most People Missed In ‘Black Widow’

Black Widow is a curious movie, when you think about it. Let’s see – it takes place sandwiched between different parts of Captain America: Civil War, its release was postponed three times, and its main character is already gone from “present-day” Marvel continuity. Despite all that working against it, Black Widow’s actually a pretty good movie. Like any other Marvel flick, though, it’s inundated with easter eggs and hidden details – these are the best ones.

Strange though it might seem, the classic Disney animated show DuckTales makes not one but two appearances early in Black Widow. We catch our first glimpse of Duckburg’s finest in Natasha’s family home. As the girls and their “mom” are preparing dinner, the TV’s on and is playing the show’s unforgettable intro.

Then, during the opening credits, we see how the Red Room conditions its young girls to become Black Widows. One of those methods, apparently, is total immersion in Western culture – partly achieved by watching DuckTales and taking notes.
