We understand that people get lonely, and the hairdresser is someone they see regularly. She’s probably professionally friendly and listens to their chatter. She’s gentle with their hair and follows their requests. But, she’s not there to date. She’s there to make money.
It’s a job. It’s her career. She went to school for this and depends on returning customers. She’s supposed to make each person feel special. Don’t mistake her professionalism for interest, because — she’s like this with everybody! It’s what she does for a living.
