Given you can never see what’s going on inside your pipes, it’s hard to know whether or not they’re still in good condition. Unfortunately, as this person found out, theirs was not. Years of use had led to build-up and rusting, which meant that the inside of the pipes was far from safe.
You probably wouldn’t want to drink water that went through here, no matter how thirsty you were. There’s no knowing what impact that would have on your health, especially if you were drinking it every day.
