Of all the things to use for covering up a leak, this is perhaps one of the worst. A glove might stop any immediate spillages, but it won’t be effective for long. After a while, it will probably start growing mold, and it won’t be doing anything to fix the issue at hand.
Hiding the problem doesn’t mean that it stops existing, even if you can’t see it. Of course, a temporary solution like this is probably still better than letting the leak spray out when there are wires around.
