There is something almost childlike about wearing dungarees, and if you are an adult that can pull this look off, you are seriously lucky. In the 90s, overalls were all the hype, worn with one strap up and one strap down, to enhance the childish look.
Even more sloppy was when people would wear extremely baggy ones, paired with brightly colored shirts or flannel for a guy, or a crop top for a girl. This certainly was a statement, although not such a stylish one.
