No, this isn’t a scene from a post-apocalyptic movie, even though it definitely looks like it. And to be honest, for this man, it probably felt like it too. Instead, this is a photo of a man gazing mournfully at the damage that the Australian wildfires were doing. While there is a certain somber beauty to this photo, it’s hard to imagine bearing witness to such a tragedy.
It puts it into perspective just how powerless we are in the face of natural disasters. That’s certainly an unsettling thought. Hey, at least he had his dog at his side.
