Anyone who has travelled to New York City, and even many who have not, know of the world famous Statue of Liberty. It has been an iconic landmark and iconic component of the cityscape for many decades now.
It is regularly considered the main point of interest in the entire city. But, to have the weather endorse it as a point of interest through a lightning bolt is very exciting. This lucky photographer never dared to hope to get a shot like this.
