For many areas of Puerto Rico, Hurricane Maria caused a lot of damage, and the resources were spread incredibly thin in the days immediately following the destruction. Many communities and areas weren’t able to be directly assisted right after the storm, so people in these areas needed to adapt in the meantime.
This photo shows a man navigating a treacherously destroyed road on his bike. This road located in a small town West of San Juan is a perfect example of how destructive this hurricane truly was.
