It seems this guy was ahead of his time because he brought the hipster look to MLB long before the term ‘hipster’ had even been created. Thanks to his twirly mustache, Rollie Fingers made himself look older than he actually was.
The baseball star was just 29 years old when this image of him was captured, though he looks like he is from a different time in history. Fingers was hugely influential on MLB, as his role as a relief pitcher redefined what that meant for the modern sport.
