No matter how terrifying a chore is, there’s always something more terrifying: an upset and impatient mom. One yell from mom can get most kids to wash the dishes, clean their room, or take out the trash in an instant. This teenager definitely learned the potency of his mother’s anger when he pretended to be afraid of the dark to avoid taking out the trash.
An admirable attempt, but mom wasn’t into it. She probably could’ve just taken out the trash herself if she chased him all the way out there, but he wouldn’t have learned his lesson.
