[post_page_title]A lot of circular towers[/post_page_title]
When you look at many old castles, you’ll see that many of the individual towers were circular. This wasn’t because of the way it made the towers look, as the circular construction was chosen due to its functionality.
On top of adding enhanced structural stability to the castles themselves, the circular towers themselves were less susceptible to being destroyed or wrecked (as opposed to square towers). These types of towers also held up better to sappers, for what it’s worth.
