The thing about medieval castles is that it wasn’t only soldiers and workers that were present, horses were also there too. This isn’t too much of a surprise as vehicles weren’t a thing back then, so horses were one of the most reliable forms of transportation.
Due to the importance of the animals, there were haylofts and stables that would be located in a castle’s bailey. Who would’ve known that those menacing-looking castles had beautiful-looking horses lurking inside?
