[post_page_title]Building the Chemins de Rondes[/post_page_title]
As many of you probably guessed, Chemins de Rondes is indeed French. It’s actually French for walkway, and when it came to castles, they were basically protected walkways.
Due to the defenders who had to defend the castle (as it was sort of in their job descriptions), there needed to be a solid amount of protection to make their jobs both easier and safer. Chemins de Rondes provide the protection that defenders needed, and they were probably very grateful that they were present.
