It’s not like medieval castles were blessed with top-of-the-line bathrooms and indoor plumbing. Due to human nature, however, everyone has to go to the bathroom, so that left people in the castle in an interesting spot.
Thankfully, many castles would be designed with garderobes, and these would allow the inhabitants a way to take care of their business. While we would look at them and still probably cringe, those back then were probably blessed to be able to use them.
