When it comes to complimenting the chef, when that chef is your wife – sometimes you have to be careful with your words. Even more so, you have to take caution when that chef is your mother-in-law. When that’s the case, you have your wife AND your mother-in-law observing your reaction to the food.
If you don’t like it – it won’t only be obvious to one of them, but rather, both of them will notice and both of them will take offense.
