In fairness, even in the modern era you can stand back and be in awe of the picture that you’re seeing from a TV. However, for this young boy, it was a whole different beast.
This is a shot from 1948 and what you have to remember about that time is TVs weren’t exactly as commonplace as they are currently. The look on his face truly does say it all, as he probably couldn’t believe his eyes. It’s hard to think of a comparison to put into perspective what must have been going through his mind.
