[post_page_title]Doing a lot to get the picture[/post_page_title]
Without any context, you’d think that you were looking at a simple picture of Gandhi. As it turns out, the photographer behind this shot (Margaret Bourke-White) had to do some learning beforehand to get it.
The deal was made by Gandhi’s secretaries and they implored Margaret that she first had to learn how to use a spinning wheel before getting the shot she wanted. Additionally, she wasn’t allowed to talk to him (as it was his day of silence) and she couldn’t use bright lights.
