No, this isn’t the very first photo that was ever taken, but it was the first that was taken from a cellphone. Syncing his devices with a few lines of programming code, Philippe Kahn managed to take a photo with his cellphone (also utilizing his digital camera).
Fast forward many years and cameras started to become a staple of cellular technology, but that wasn’t the case in 1997 (when the photo was shot). It’s a little grainy, but for the first one, it turned out fairly well.
