What looks like an ordinary picture is one that actually ended up selling for $2.3 million. Yep, you read that right, and here’s how it all went down.
Being dubbed 99 Cent, this picture was stitched together from several images that were photographed in a Los Angeles store (that was marketed as being a 99 cents only store). A lot of work was put into the art and given how much it ended up selling for at a 2006 auction, we’d say the work was well worth it.
