We love Dragon in Shrek. Even though she starts out as the scary, mean dragon guarding Fiona’s tower, she quickly falls for Donkey and becomes a loyal fighter for Shrek and co.
In this awesome scene, Dragon helps save the day when she flies right through the church windows and literally eats Lord Farquaad, effectively stopping him from marrying Fiona, so Shrek can have his beloved. But note the window she crashed through. It just destroyed the image of Lord Farquaad. The dragon he was stepping on is intact. That’s some great symbolism right there.
