Shrek made his entrance in the world with a bang back in 2001. And with bang, we mean Shrek exiting his outhouse to the tunes of All Star by Smash Mouth.
It’s the kind of song we were used to hearing in late ’90s high school movies, and it’s beyond catchy, so it put the audience in the perfect mood to become hardcore Shrek fans from the get go. In Shrek The Third, we get a nostalgic throwback to that first scene of the first movie, when the school band at the school assembly Shrek interrupts, is playing All Star.
