[post_page_title]Shrek 2 opens with a new fairytale[/post_page_title]
In the first Shrek movie, in the opening scene, we see a book of fairytales which Shrek is reading. Shrek 2 has the exact same opening scene, but instead of those classic fairytales – we see the fairytale that was the first Shrek movie.
It’s a great way to give the audience a recap of what happened, in case anyone forgot in the three years that passed until the sequel came out. It also immediately puts us back into the whimsical fairytale universe that is Shrek.
