There are countless of fairytale nods in the Shrek movies, and just the princesses get a lot of attention. These are just two of the many nods you can spot throughout the four movies.
Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey drive by Rapunzel’s tower in Shrek 2, Cinderella’s castle gate has her name and a glass slipper on top, the glowing fairies used as lamps look like Peter Pan’s Tinkerbell. The list goes on and one, just look closely and you’ll notice small references everywhere.
