We’re not sure why people feel that it’s okay to take things that don’t belong to them. If you haven’t paid for something, or if it wasn’t gifted to you, then you have no ownership over it. Unfortunately, we could scream that until our lungs gave out, but it wouldn’t change anything.
The people who steal would continue to do it, regardless of the consequences. That’s what this thief did, and they felt no need to apologize for their crime. Quite the opposite, actually, judging by their blunt response.
