Most people make signs to welcome someone home, but it seems like this guy wanted to do the exact opposite. Rather than keeping Jody around, he wished for her to return to California.
According to his sign, his reason for wanting her gone was apparently that he “hates” her, although we don’t know if that’s true or not. Maybe he just thought she’d overstayed her welcome and wanted to give her an extra nudge to leave. Either way, he didn’t spare her feelings by cutting straight to the point.
