This person must have been so engrossed in their Kindle that they wanted to read it as much as possible. That meant they read it all the way to their car before getting in and driving away. Obviously, they weren’t going to read it while driving…
That would be irresponsible, so they set it down while they jumped in the car. Unfortunately, they forgot to pick it back up when leaving the vehicle, and they left it out in the rain.
