One common complaint levied towards Ellen is that she has a bit of a superiority complex. This is what causes her to ignore her interns and avoid eye contact with anyone lower than her on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. It also is likely what causes her to treat some of her guests with disrespect.
We can see this when Hasan Minhaj came on the show and Ellen totally butchered his name. Hasan took the time to correct her, which we appreciated, but it was definitely an awkward moment. She couldn’t have just looked it up?
