Everyone’s favorite TV-show host suddenly faced a tidal wave of critique, and accusations of not being as kind and easy-going as she lets on in front of the camera. These are some of the weirdest and most ridiculous diva behaviors employees, guests, and others who have met Ellen, have experienced.

If you’re lucky (or unlucky) enough to have landed a meeting with Ellen in her office, be sure to chew some gum on beforehand.
According to TV writer Benjamin Siemon, who is one of many who have recently spilled the tea on Ellen’s true character, she has a highly sensitive nose, and if she thinks someone smells bad, she will send them home to take a shower. There’s apparently even a bowl outside her office filed with gum, to try to prevent this from happening. Yikes!
