Hollywood directors often face a mammoth task when turning a successful book into a movie. Luckily, it helps to have a cast of amazing actors. To Kill a Mockingbird would hardly have been the hit it’s considered even to this day if it weren’t for Gregory Peck.
However, one actor that played just as much of an important role was Mary Badham. She played the young Jean Louise Finch and was even nominated for an Oscar. Despite the early success, Badham quickly retired from acting. She now apparently works as an art collector.
