Alison Arngrim is yet another starlet that made her breakthrough in show business by being cast in Little House on the Prairie. Interestingly, she originally auditioned for the roles of Mary and Laura Ingalls. She was only 12 when she auditioned for the role. However, she was ultimately cast as Nellie Oleson.
While the show garnered her a lot of attention, she decided to retire from acting after it ended and pursued a career as a stand-up comedian. More recently, she is known for her involvement with various charitable organizations.
