[post_page_title]Queen Elizabeth gave birth at home – it’s just that home was Buckingham Palace[/post_page_title]
There is something comforting in realizing that despite their fantastic wealth, royal women generally gave birth in the same manner as the other women of their day. For the vast majority of the Royal Family’s history, then, babies were born at home. The only difference, really, was that “home” was sometimes a palace.

Only Princess Anne was born in nearby Clarence House, since Buckingham was undergoing renovations to repair damage sustained in World War II.
