The private maternity ward is an exclusive part of the NHS hospital, named after a hospital board member called Frank Charles Lindo, who donated £111,500 (around $142,000). Since then, there have been a host of celebrities and royals who have given birth at the unit, including Amal Clooney.
Prince William and Prince Harry were also born on the Lindo Wing. Prince William was born there on June 21, 1982, and Prince Harry followed two years later in 1984. Prince William quite obviously trusted the services of the wing and wanted to follow the family tradition.
