After Kate Middleton chose the Lindo Wing as her maternity hospital of choice, most people assumed that Meghan Markle would follow suit. The maternity ward had become the hot topic in the world of celebrity babies, and it seemed only natural that Meghan would choose the establishment for her own birth. However, as the months went by, it soon became clear that it wasn’t going to be the case.
Reports made their way out of Kensington Palace that stated that Meghan had shunned the Lindo Wing and that she wanted to have a home birth instead. While it is not uncommon for Royals to have their children in the comfort of their own home, it is fairly rare. Because of this, the news came as a shock to many.
