Pixar animators are a nostalgic bunch, which is why certain symbols, items, and numbers are always hidden within the movies. For example, the famous A113.
This was the name of the classroom at the California Institute of the Arts where many of Pixar’s best animators first got started learning the art of animation, and got to know each other. So it makes sense Riley’s new classroom in San Francisco is room A113, to pay tribute to the place that has played such a huge part in Pixar’s success.
