The action inside the brain is all due to the different emotions taking control of the control panel, and thereby dictating what feelings and responses Riley has. Like any arbitrary control panel, it has plenty of buttons and levers who’s uses aren’t always obvious. But, one cool detail is that depending on what emotion uses it, it lights up in different colors.
When Sadness pushes a button, it turns blue, when Joy is in charge, the panel is all yellow, and when Anger takes over it’s instead red.
