During the hilarious dinner scene, when Riley and her parents start fighting in that typical adolescent versus parents way most of us can relate to, you may have notice they are eating Chinese takeout. This is yet another long-running Pixar Easter egg.
Those exact boxes also appear in A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 2, and Ratatouille. We have a feeling this Easter egg started because the animators many a times ordered Chinese takeout to the studio while working late…
