The Toy Story trilogy takes place in a non-specific Tri-County area, and in Inside Out you can spot some proof that the movie takes place within that same universe. Before the family’s move to San Francsico, Riley plays for a local hockey team.
In the arena here we see some written proof that the team is part of the Tri-County Youth Hockey. Clever connections like this just makes it more fun to watch Pixar movies, because they really are all connected somehow.
