Most of the stories on this list focus on family members who were relationship dealbreakers because they’re obnoxious, invasive, and overall unpleasant people. This, however, is a rare case where a girlfriend’s father was a dealbreaker simply because he was doing this job.
The guy in the story was a bit of a bad boy growing up, and when he went to meet his girlfriend’s father, he found out the man had been his arresting officer years before. Sounds like a scene from a 1990s sitcom, but it’s just real life.
